Our recycled wool waterproof picnic blankets are woven from 70% recycled wool and 30% recycled fibers. Recycling wool can be a challenge as the fibers can be too short to respin. Our solution is to blend recycled wool with longer mixed fibers saved from landfills to create a soft and durable yarn, which is woven in a dense twill weave and brushed for texture. All the benefits of wool, in a sustainable blanket! What’s more, they’re even machine washable. Each picnic blanket is finished with a waterproof backing and the option to add on a brass and leather picnic strap for easy carrying.
